Norwood

The homeowner wanted to create an inviting kitchen within the north-facing room which would provide plenty of storage solutions within a family home. Within a wider renovation of the home, the dining room and kitchen were made open plan so it was important to bring a level of order within the kitchen layout whilst keeping it light and spacious.

The kitchen is constructed from simple shaker-style cabinetry in a soft off-white, with traditional staff bead door rails to add subtle detail and character. The high ceilings of the room allowed for a classic Georgian cornice to be made for the upper cabinets that was mirrored on the extractor hood for a sense of continuity and depth.

Towards the dining table we positioned two shallow pantry units that form a transition between the cooking and eating areas and create additional storage through solid oak drawers and adjustable shelving.
