Duddo Kitchens Workshop

Our Story

Founded by brothers Tom & Ben Leslie in 2020, we craft beautifully bespoke solid timber kitchens and home interiors. Our work focuses on simple, well-thought designs with functionality and longevity at the forefront of everything we do. Through the use of natural materials and traditional construction techniques, we embrace the character and quality that can only come with something that is truly handmade.

The name, Duddo, originates from the old dairy farm we grew up on in Northumberland. To us, it embodies the values of home – something we believe is important to understand when creating long-lasting furniture for our homes.

Our Responsibility

Over the past 5 years we have worked hard to build strong relationships with our timber suppliers, ensuring that we are able to produce affordable, high quality kitchens. Where possible we source from British timber suppliers and are able to offer locally sourced hardwoods from our relationships with local farms and timber mills.

We choose to use finishes that derive from natural oils, paired with water-based paints which present lower impact processes to both our homes and the environment. We further look to reduce the carbon footprint of our practice through the reuse of waste materials (offcuts) to heat our workshop, and we separate our hardwood shavings which are used by our local farm. If you feel there is anything further that we could do to improve our sustainability practice we would be appreciative of any shared thoughts.
